Happy Holidays

Happy holidays to everyone. I haven't had much time for blogging, I don't know that I will in 2012 either. Truthfully, I find the whole scene of political blogs somewhat tiresome, with many simply incapable of actually having a conversation it seems, often descending in threats and accusations etc. Childish.

So here's to a better 2012, and perhaps less, of this horseshit. If that's possible.

the fun of commenting on conservative blogs

Well, not really. Today I dropped by the notorious Halls of macademia, and thought it was rather funny he would go off on a Liberal MP proposing more laws for speeding. This, in context of his beloved party gorging themselves on their law and order agenda, which is supposed to fix crime here in Canada. It seems all one has to do, is simply "return fire" as it were, in the same mocking tone of this brainless fool, and he goes off like a roman candle. It doesn't take much to get him screaming that somehow, you've been persecuting him with nazi references, even though I haven't bothered to comment there in a pretty long time. The level of stupid was more than I could have hoped for.

This is the kind of maturity level this sort of blogger has obviously, and note this is a hard core supporter of Stephen Harper. I bet this individual is a real hoot in person.

It was really, only a matter of time

Pastor Mike compares atheists to “convicted sex offenders , ex-convicts , terrorist cells , hate groups like the KKK , skinheads , radical Islamists , etc..”  He claims that the purpose of this organization/website called, "The Christian National Registry of Atheists" is to inform the public of known atheists so that they can be proselytize to and their businesses can be boycotted.

Traditional news media, has begun to crumble

Actually, I think it has started to crumble some time ago, but it wasn't as noticeable until now. The news of CTV Quebec City Bureau Chief Kai Nagata quitting his job, and his making public his reasons for doing so, has really only helped shine a spotlight on the problem.

Robin Rowland wrote a good blog post about this here.

It's worth noting, the handfulof conservative bloggers who regularly denounce news media such as CTV, are predictably quiet about this.
